What is SAC Code?

Services Accounting Code (SAC) is a classification system for services under GST, similar to HSN codes for goods. SAC codes help identify the nature of services provided and determine the applicable GST rate. These codes were adapted from the United Nations Central Product Classification (CPC) system and are mandatory on tax invoices for service providers above the turnover threshold.
