What is SGST?
State Goods and Services Tax (SGST) is the tax levied by State Governments on intra-state supply of goods and services. SGST is collected simultaneously with CGST, with revenue going to the state government. Together, CGST and SGST replace the earlier state-level VAT and central excise duties.
