What is ISD?

Input Service Distributor (ISD) is an office or branch of a company that receives tax invoices for input services and distributes the input tax credit to other branches or units. ISD mechanism allows businesses with multiple locations to centrally receive and distribute ITC of common services like rent, insurance, or audit fees. ISD must be registered separately and file GSTR-6 returns monthly.
